Additions to Commercial Sales Management Team
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
SUWANEE, Ga. - February 17, 2009 - With its continued growth, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division has created four new regional commercial sales positions to assist with the growing demand across the country for our products. These positions will provide sales support in the northeast, south, central and west regions of the country.
"Over the past few years, steady growth in the commercial market and the increased demand for energy efficient air-conditioning and heat pump systems have required a stronger sales presence all over the country," says Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "These four new positions will be integral for capitalizing on opportunities within the United States."
The commercial sales managers are responsible for managing all CITY MULTI® commercial product sales and serve as the single point of contact for a specified sale within their zone.
Each manager will work with architects, engineers, developers and contractors on various projects to assist them in determining the scope of their projects and which equipment will best suit their needs. The managers will also be working with the CITY MULTI sales teams to best coordinate their sales goals and activities.
As the commercial sales manager for the northeast, Ronald Young brings almost 30 years of experience in HVAC sales and nearly 20 years of experience in application engineering and sales team management. Young began his career with Carrier Corporation where he worked in their HVAC product sales and application engineering departments before moving to York International/Johnson Controls, an HVAC manufacturer, in their applied products division. Since 1990, Young has received over 30 quarterly outstanding achievement awards for his work ethic and sales knowledge. Young attended the schools of engineering and business at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn.
Dennis Cobb brings more than 25 years of HVAC applications experience to his position as southern commercial sales manager. Before joining Mitsubishi Electric HVAC in 2004 as the southern regional manager, Cobb spent five years with Carrier Corporation as one of their territory managers. Cobb has also spent time at Lennox Industries as a territory manager and York International where he was the Florida-based commercial and residential sales manager. As the general manager for St. Petersburg Heating and Air Conditioning, Cobb was responsible for the commercial and residential sales as well as business development. Cobb studied general business at St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Prior to his recent promotion to western commercial sales manager, Jim Benville was the regional manager for Mitsubishi Electric HVAC's Pacific Northwest area for five years. Before joining the team at Mitsubishi Electric HVAC, Benville was a project engineer/project manager for PAE Consulting Engineers, where he designed HVAC systems for commercial buildings. Previous to this, he spent three years with York International as their product marketing manager where he was responsible for providing field support to the sales team as well as determining price points on products. Jim is a member of ASHRAE, and received both his bachelors and masters degrees in mechanical engineering from Portland State University, Portland, Ore.
In his promotion to commercial sales manager for the central zone, Will Scott will continue development, promotion and application support of the CITY MULTI product line. Scott has been with Mitsubishi Electric HVAC for over three years, and adds another 11 years combined working with the sales teams at both Carrier Corporation and Trane. Scott earned his bachelors in engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, Rolla, Mo.
