Homes, Commercial Spaces Benefit From New S-Series
Monday, May 15, 2006
Suwanee, Ga. -
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee, Ga.,
has unveiled its new CITY MULTI® S-Series outdoor unit,
PUMY, with a coolingcapacity of 48,000 Btu/h and a heating capacity
of 54,000 Btu/h, according to Meredith Emmerich, CITY MULTI Systems
product manager.
"The CITY MULTI S-Series solution offers all the features and
benefits of our larger CITY MULTI Y-Series, but for homes and small
commercial spaces," says Emmerich. "Each single-phase outdoor unit
features Variable Refrigerant Flow Zoning (VRFZ) technology to cool
or heat all zones using the CITY MULTI Controls Network (CMCN),
making it perfect for a home or small commercial multi-room office
building where individuals may desire varying comfort
levels."
The CITY MULTI PUMY outdoor unit uses R410A refrigerant and
Mitsubishi Electric's leading inverter-driven compressor to use
energy effectively, shaving countless dollars off utility bills for
end users. A maximum of eight CITY MULTI indoor units can be
connected with up to 130 percent connected capacity and are
available in a variety of different models, including wall-mounted,
ceiling-recessed and -concealed and floor-mounted exposed or
concealed units. The CMCN intelligently manages CITY MULTI through
zone controllers, system controllers and optionally through a
networked PC to manage individual comfort levels and provide the
ultimate building comfort solution.
Additionally, an anti-corrosion PUMY model is available for coastal
applications, providing protection in seacoast environments. The
night-time mode feature on the PUMY lowers the sound level of the
unit by decreasing compressor frequency during certain outdoor
conditions. The PUMY's demand control feature limits the compressor
frequency to reduce energy consumption. According to Emmerich,
these features and options make the S-Series one of the highest
performing and most reliable products for end users on the market
today.
