Jet Towel Offers Quick Hand-Drying Solution
Monday, February 05, 2007
Suwanee, Ga. -
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee, Ga.,
has introduced its new Jet Towel® hand dryer, which is
perfect for the medical, hospitality and educational industries.
According to Chuck Applebee, product manager, the Mitsubishi Jet
Towel is a great alternative to paper towels or conventional hand
dryers.
"Mitsubishi Jet Towel reduces overall hand drying from the 30 or 40
seconds required by a typical hand dryer, to only five or six
seconds," says Applebee. "Jet Towel reduces drying time in two
ways. First, it blows high velocity air onto both sides of the
hands simultaneously, reducing the overall drying time. Secondly,
hands are inserted flat into the Jet Towel ensuring that the
maximum surface area is dried more quickly. Water is driven off the
hands rather than trying to dry it like conventional
systems."
Applebee explains that since the product does not come in contact
with the hands, Jet Towel usage is extremely sanitary, and because
no paper waste is generated, it offers the added benefit of keeping
the washroom environment clean and tidy. By eliminating paper
waste, Jet Towel provides excellent cost savings. For example, a
restroom used 400 times daily will save an estimated $3,765
annually in paper costs and labor, adds Applebee.
"With no more towel dispensers requiring refills, there's no more
paper waste to pile up and no trash to take away. In addition, the
water from hands is collected in the unit's drain tank, keeping the
floors clean and dry. Jet Towel is designed for ease of maintenance
and helps keep facilities safe and clean," says Applebee.
Additional benefits include explanatory stickers provided with each
hand dryer to present simple instructions for first-time users and
a built-in timer that automatically halts operation after 30
seconds. "In addition to the many performance and safety benefits
Jet Towel provides, the hand dryer is stylish and adds a wow factor
to any standard or high-end restroom," explains Applebee. "Also,
the Jet Towel is quiet. At 65dB(A) Jet Towel produces considerably
less noise than the typical 75dB(A) to 90dB(A) of other hand
dryers."
Easy to install, Jet Towel requires no extra reinforcement. When
mounting on a concrete wall, metal or wood, screw plugs are
advisable. For more information on Mitsubishi Jet Towel, visit
