Promotions Within Mitsubishi Electric HVAC

Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee, Ga.,
has promoted three staff members in the training, marketing and
sales departments over the past few months, according to William
Rau, senior vice president and general manager, Mitsubishi Electric
HVAC Advanced Products Division.
"These individuals have been integral in our unprecedented growth
over the past few years," says Rau. "Their extensive experience
with our full line of products is unmatched and they will continue
to play a vital role in maintaining our position as the industry
leader in innovation."
A Mitsubishi goal is to continue to enhance and expand both sales
and service training. To support that goal, Ken Brown has been
promoted to division training manager. Brown is responsible for
leading a formalized, central training function within the
division, including establishing standards for development and
delivery, applying new standards, providing guidance for
redesigning existing training programs and achieving Authorized CEU
Provider status through the International Association for
Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
Prior to joining Mitsubishi, Brown worked for 10 years as a
technical writer and instructional designer in both the software
and telecommunications industries, and for five years as an adjunct
instructor of psychology at Southern Polytechnic State University,
Marietta, Ga. Brown graduated from Georgia Southern University with
a bachelor of science degree in psychology and holds two master of
science degrees, one in experimental psychology from Auburn
University, Auburn, Ala., and one in technical and professional
communication from Southern Polytechnic State University.
Paul Doppel has been appointed director of factory liaison and
government affairs. Doppel, who joined Mitsubishi in 2002 as a
brand manager, heads a new and exciting department focused on
promoting new technology and concepts, while continuing to advance
the latest technology shown in Mitsubishi's product offering.
Additionally, Doppel is responsible for working with various
organizations such as the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration
Institute (ARI), the Department of Energy (DOE), the Natural
Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the American Council for an
Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE), utility companies, state
governments and green building groups. Prior to joining Mitsubishi,
Doppel worked for 10 years with Amana Heating & Air
Conditioning, Houston, Texas, and retired from the United States
Army Reserves after 30 years of service. He is a graduate of the
United States Military Academy at West Point, West Point,
N.Y.
Mitsubishi also has promoted Barbara Renaud to marketing
communications manager. In her new role, Renaud handles public
relations, external and internal communications, and assists with
relationship marketing programs, departmental operations and
project planning. Renaud previously served as marketing specialist.
Prior to joining Mitsubishi, Renaud worked in the strategic events
department for The Coca Cola Company, Atlanta, Ga., overseeing
special projects, events and trade shows. Renaud is a graduate of
the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, with a bachelor of science
degree in journalism.

A 2006 survey by ACH&R News listed Mitsubishi Electric as
contractors' most preferred ductless manufacturer and the number

specifications. In 2004, Mr. Slim received a Bronze Award in
ACH&R News' Dealer Design Awards contest and CITY MULTI
received a Bronze Award in the HVAC product category in 2005 for
