SUWANEE, Ga., August 6, 2012 - Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating (Mitsubishi Electric), America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, is pleased to announce that William Rau, senior vice president and general manager, and Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, have received the Business Group Award for outstanding growth and performance.

Presented each year by the Tokyo headquarters of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, the award recognizes individuals within the global organization who have greatly improved sales over the previous year. To receive the award, a candidate must be nominated by the factory or the headquarters in Tokyo. In this case, the headquarters nominated both Rau and Nardello, and then submitted a one-page summary explaining the nominees' achievements. After the review process, the Business Group President decided the recipients. Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating was one of only two divisions outside of Japan to receive the award this year.

The U.S. HVAC division has consistently exceeded its own sales goals, and in 2011, Rau and Nardello produced double-digit sales growth for the division.
