New App Facilitates Increased Reporting Capabilities
SUWANEE, Ga., April 24, 2012 - Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating (Mitsubishi Electric), America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, today announced it released an Apple® iPad application that allows users to calculate total block or room-by-room cooling and heating loads for residential and small commercial buildings.
This application offers technicians and contractors the ability to accurately size HVAC cooling and heating equipment and then submit required load calculation reports to local jurisdictions. The app, a variation of Carmel Software's HVAC Residential Load Calcs HD app, is the first mobile HVAC load calculation software application available to take advantage of the simplicity, power and large screen size of the iPad.
The latest in a line of mobile software applications offered by Mitsubishi Electric, this new iPad app signifies the company's commitment to developing solutions to common customer problems.
"We continually strive to develop products that make our customers' lives easier, and utilizing mobile apps has continued to be a very useful tool for helping our customers do business more efficiently," says Marc Zipfel, director of product marketing, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating. "This new iPad application will benefit technicians and contractors who are looking for an HVAC tool that can easily be carried on job sites and that allows users to immediately send detailed reports to customers or cloud-based storage for access by any type of computer interface."
Convenient and useful for contractors or technicians working in a broad range of residential and light commercial applications, the app includes a database of hundreds of building construction types and weather data for thousands of cities. Users can create and store an unlimited number of projects, helpful for those working on multiple assignments and creating a variety of reports. The app even directly connects to the user's Dropbox.com account to store reports, allowing contractors with the meSync™ Program to access the reports in the meQUOTE app and include it in with their in-home estimate generated on their iPads.
"This app will change the way HVAC contractors and technicians do business. Now, they can go out into the field, do a quick and comprehensive load calc, and email the results back to the office to conduct more detailed analysis. This is the only app of its kind at this time," says Stephen Roth, principal, Carmel Software.
The iPad app is available for purchase on the iTunes Store. To learn more about it, go to the iTunes store and search for Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating to see all of the available apps. To find out more about products from Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, visit www.mehvac.com.
