SUWANEE, Ga., June 22, 2011 - Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating systems, today announced the promotion of Meredith Emmerich to senior director of application support.

"Meredith continues to be one of our key technical leaders," says Bill Rau, senior vice president and general manager, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating. "Her leadership, tenacity and expertise have greatly contributed to our division's success, and we look forward to her team's continued excellence."

Emmerich heads a team of engineers and technical specialists who provide product, design and application support for all Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating products and technologies. The team also supports sales managers and distributors in promoting Mitsubishi Electric products and applications within the technical community.

Emmerich joined Mitsubishi Electric in 1999 as a product engineer with the Mitsubishi Electric Telecommunications Network division. In 2002, she moved to the Cooling & Heating division as a sales manager. In 2006, Emmerich began working in product development, becoming manager of application support in 2007 and director of application support in 2008.

Emmerich earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
