Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Announces New Hires

SUWANEE, Ga., February 19, 2009 - To support continued growth, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division has welcomed Chuck Jones to the Irvine, Calif., office as an area service manager and Charles Landherr to the Colorado and Wyoming area as an area sales manager.
"Due to the continual growth in the intelligent air-conditioning and heat pump market and in order to efficiently support demand for our products, as well as maintain our presence in the industry, we are adding to our staff to strengthen the Division," says William Rau, senior vice president and general manager, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "These management positions are integral in strategically growing our brand within the United States and capitalizing on new opportunities."
In his role as western area service manager, Chuck Jones is responsible for providing technical support to Mitsubishi Electric HVAC distributors, contractors and end users. He also provides assistance as needed to senior service managers as well as conducts technical service training and on-site installation/start-up training to customers as appropriate.
Jones comes to Mitsubishi Electric HVAC with over 30 years of HVAC experience which includes residential, commercial and industrial applications. He also brings extensive experience in refrigeration, chillers, pumps, water treatment, boilers and humidification and dehumidification systems. Prior to joining the Mitsubishi Electric HVAC team, Jones owned his own HVAC business, 5 Star Air-Conditioning, in Orange County, Calif. He also served as supervisor of facilities at Watson Laboratories, a pharmaceutical company located in Corona, Calif., where he managed 25 technicians in a one million-square-foot facility.
Jones attended Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa Calif., where he received a certificate in HVAC-R and California State University, Long Beach, Calif., where he received a certificate in Pharmaceutical Engineering.
As the new area manager of Colorado and Wyoming, Charles Landherr is responsible for promoting CITY MULTI products to engineers, architects and design build contractors as well as providing support to CITY MULTI distributors and manufacturer representatives in the area.
Prior to joining Mitsubishi Electric HVAC, Landherr worked at the Joyce Agency, a manufacturer's representative agency located in Springfield, Va., where he served as a sales engineer responsible for the promotion of products and services to distributors, engineers and contractors.
Landherr is a member of ASHRAE and received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, Md.
