Mitsubishi Electric Introduces Improved JET TOWEL®

SUWANEE, Ga., November 16, 2009 -
Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating
Solutions, Suwanee, Ga., has introduced the latest version of
its rapid-drying Jet Towel hand dryer. The Jet Towel is a
high-performance, environmentally friendly and cost-effective
alternative to conventional hand dryers, paper towels and other
conventional drying methods. With revolutionary Dual Jet
engineering, Jet Towel cuts drying time by more than half - what
previously took 40 seconds now only takes five to nine.
"We've enhanced a number of Jet Towel's features in order to offer
users a new and improved hand drying experience," says Chuck
Applebee, product manager, Mitsubishi Electric. "With its ergonomic
design and dual-heated jet drying capabilities, Jet Towel is a
unique product for any application."
Additionally, Jet Towel completely eliminates the need for paper
towels, resulting in reduced waste, labor and operating costs. CleanLink, an
information resource for sanitary supply distributors, building
service contractors and in-house cleaning professionals, reports
that many distributors say hand dryers produce around a 90 percent
total savings over the use of paper. Low-energy, touch-less models
claim even greater savings.
The UL listed Jet Towel comes standard with a heating function. The
heater option provides an instant hand warmer that is triggered as
soon as hands are placed inside. Once inserted, a warm flow of 95
degrees Fahrenheit air gusts into the Jet Towel, resulting in a
quick and comfortable experience for the user.
The product now features an updated hyper nozzle design that
combines rapid drying with noise reduction. In comparison to
conventional electric dryers, Jet Towel's new arc-shaped slit
nozzles ensure airflow over both sides of the hands for faster,
more effective and quieter drying. Equipped with advanced jet
stream technology, Jet Towel resolves the problem of mutual
interface noise between air currents while maintaining the ability
to dry hands instantaneously at a noise level of 64 decibels (dB)
when on high and 61 dB when on low (a normal conversation between
two people is typically 60 dB). The new ergonomic design blends
spatial compatibility with easy maintenance and the arch-shaped
form is designed with rounded edges, reducing contact when
inserting or withdrawing the hands. With hygienic, no-touch drying,
Jet Towel can help users avoid germs and helps keep the entire
washroom environment clean and sanitary.
Jet Towel meets the needs of the Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA) because it is touch-less and
requires no effort to operate. Jet Towel automatically shuts off
after 30 seconds and can be mounted at any level, making the
product accessible for all consumers. In addition to its
environmental, energy, and cost benefits, Jet Towel is an
aesthetically appealing addition to any standard or high-end
restroom. The unit is easy to install and requires no extra
reinforcement. The drain tank system stores water from each use,
instead of blowing it all over the restroom floor.
Mitsubishi Electric has released a new brochure that details the
features and benefits of the improved Jet Towel, which can be downloaded online. For more information on Jet
Towel and its possible applications, visit http://www.mitsubishijettowel.com/.
