Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating Expands IT Department, Sales Force

SUWANEE, Ga., June 14, 2012 - To support its continued growth, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, has appointed a new director of information technology and promoted three members of its sales management team.
"We are confident that these members of our team possess the skills and industry experience to take Mitsubishi Electric to the next level and help continue our rapid sales growth," says William Rau, senior vice president and general manager, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating.
Chris Osment has been appointed as director of information technology to develop and lead a strategic plan for IT solutions. He will organize information systems to support the continued growth of the business as well as implement new information initiatives in marketing, sales, distribution and service. Prior to joining Mitsubishi Electric, Osment held positions in client services, technology operations and program management for IT operations and improvement. His most recent role was executive leader of product development and IT operations at PeopleStrategy, Inc., Atlanta. Osment holds master's degrees in project management and public administration from George Washington University, Washington, and University of Georgia, Athens, Ga., respectively. Osment also holds a bachelor's degree in education from University of Georgia.
David Hawley has been promoted to channel development manager for the South Business Unit (BU), one of five U.S. sales territories in Mitsubishi Electric's business structure. He is responsible for managing the area and regional sales force in the South BU. Hawley joined Mitsubishi Electric in 2008 where he held the positions of area manager and regional manager prior to his promotion. Prior to his time at Mitsubishi Electric, Hawley was product manager for a large national distributor and a territory manager for a regional distributor. Hawley earned a bachelor's degree in criminology from University of Maryland, College Park, Md.
Kevin Hehn has been promoted to channel development manager for the Central Business Unit. In his new role, Hehn will manage the area and regional sales force in the Central BU. Hehn has worked in the HVAC industry since 1981. After 20 years as the territory manager for a large Midwest distributor, Hehn joined Mitsubishi Electric in 2007, where he held the positions of area manager and regional manager prior to this promotion. He attended Western Wisconsin Technical College, La Crosse, WI, receiving an associate degree in Refrigeration, Heating & Air Conditioning.
Steve Jones has been promoted to commercial sales manager for the Southwest BU. Responsibilities of this new role include increasing sales of Mitsubishi Electric commercial products and assisting the sales team in enhancing relationships with engineers, contractors and distributors. Prior to joining Mitsubishi Electric in 2007, Jones worked as a product sales manager for a national HVAC company in Houston and as a regional sales manager for Solar Supply, Lakes Charles, La. Jones initially joined the Mitsubishi Electric sales team as central zone commercial area manager and was promoted to commercial regional manager in 2009. He attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, Buckhannon, W.Va., and McNeese State University, Lake Charles, La., focusing on business management and economics.
