Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division Promotes Mark Kuntz to Vice President of Product Development & Engineering

SUWANEE, Ga., January 16, 2013 -Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division, America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating systems, announced that Mark Kuntz has been promoted from manager of strategic accounts and utilities to vice president of product development & engineering.

As vice president of product development & engineering, Kuntz will guide the company's product development efforts. Kuntz and his team are charged with maintaining the company's product strategy, identifying areas where the Mitsubishi Electric product line can be strengthened or enhanced, coordinating with the factories and working with third parties to supplement and accessorize the products sold in the U.S. He will also be responsible for leading the Engineering Solutions & Services (ESS) and Industry and Government Relations (IGR) functions.

Kuntz has a wide range of experience in HVAC, energy efficiency, product development and marketing. Prior to joining Mitsubishi Electric in May 2010, he served as national account manager at Lennox International, Dallas; vice president of marketing & business development at RWE Innogy; and vice president & general manger at Exelon Energy, Chicago.

Kuntz earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and obtained his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University, Dallas. Kuntz is also a LEED® Accredited Professional and a licensed professional engineer.
