Wednesday, January 09, 2013

SUWANEE, Ga., January 9, 2013 - To support its continued growth, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division, America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, has appointed five marketing managers to support its Business Units (BUs).

The BU marketing manager position is new for Mitsubishi Electric, following the change from sales zones to business units earlier last year. Mitsubishi Electric restructured its four national sales zones into five Business Units: Central BU, Northeast BU, South BU, Southwest BU and West BU.

As BU marketing managers, Lee Bergstrom, Patty Gillette, Sherry Pettite, Jim Topalian and Christina Thrift will assist the Mitsubishi Electric BUs and the company's network of distributors in creating and implementing marketing programs to achieve sales goals.

"We created the new BU structure to give each sales zone more responsibility and influence to meet the growth goals for our business," says Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division. "This new marketing position will provide support to ensure that each BU is positioned to succeed."

Lee Bergstrom has been promoted to business unit marketing manager for the Central BU. Bergstrom previously worked as channel marketing specialist at the Mitsubishi Electric headquarters in Suwanee, Ga., and brings his wealth of knowledge in working with wholesale distribution and HVAC contractors across the country.

Patty Gillette has been hired as business unit marketing manager for the Northeast BU. She has also worked as a marketing and public relations director for a New England utility company. Gillette holds a master's degree from Northeastern University, Boston.

Sherry Pettite joins the Mitsubishi Electric team as business unit marketing manager for the South BU. Pettite has extensive sales and marketing experience in creating strategic customer initiatives, most recently with Advanced Distributor Products, Stone Mountain, Ga., a division of Lennox International. Pettite earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from David Lipscomb University, Nashville, Tenn.

He brings his knowledge of brand management and strategic planning to the team. Topalian graduated from Pepperdine University, Malibu, Calif., with a bachelor's degree in business administration and management.

Christina Thrift has been hired as the business unit marketing manager for Southwest BU.
