SUWANEE, Ga., April 24, 2013 - Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric) has upgraded its line of PVFY vertical air handlers. The vertical-concealed indoor units now feature increased static capacity, certified sound ratings and overall installation design flexibility.

Enhanced features of the product include:

  • Improved static capacities, allowing longer duct runs and better air
  • Additional set of contacts for economizer control.
  • Third-party-certified sound power and sound pressure ratings.
  • Compatibility with all current and previous Mitsubishi Electric VRF zoning
    outdoor units.
  • Supports dual set point function.

The PVFY line of indoor units is ideal for installation in closets, attics, equipment rooms and other places where space is limited. The PVFY can be used in both retrofit and new building applications. For even greater flexibility, the units can be installed vertically or horizontally.

"Along with the updated features, the option of applying the unit vertically or horizontally contributes to the installation flexibility of the PVFY indoor units," said Mike Smith, senior marketing manager - commercial products, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division. "The PVFY also incorporates several comfort features, including three fan speeds and extremely quiet operation."
