Mitsubishi Electric Celebrates Grand Opening of Southwest Business Expansion in Houston

SUWANEE, GA - December 17, 2012 - Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division, America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, celebrated the grand opening of its Southwest Business Unit (BU) in Houston with a gala event and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, December 14. Headliners for the celebration included the Houston Texans Cheerleaders, State Rep. Dwayne Bohac, Houston City Council Member Helena Brown, and LPGA golfers Stacey Bieber and Christina LeCuyer.
Nationally, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division has experienced double-digit growth every year since 2007. The Southwest BU facility will be a central hub for sales and training of contractors, engineers and distributors in the Southwest region and is expected to draw more than 3,000 professional visitors in 2013.
The Southwest BU consists of territories formerly included in
the Central and Western sales zones and includes the states of
Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and
Louisiana. Bob Farmer, a 10-year Mitsubishi Electric veteran, is
business unit manager for the new Southwest BU. Farmer has nearly
25 years of experience in the HVAC industry.

region came together to celebrate our new facility, where there was
a sense of camaraderie and excitement throughout the day," says
