You asked for an American-style thermostat with a backlit display. It had to be easy to use, easy-to-read and programmable with standard schedules, a centralized controller and dual set point with system changeover capabilities.

Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating accepted the challenge. We've partnered with Honeywell, an HVAC controls industry leader, to bring you the first Mitsubishi Electric Controller powered by RedLINK™ Wireless Technology.  Our wireless controller package has been developed to work specifically with INVERTER-driven M-Series and P-Series systems, making it even easier to meet customer's comfort needs - solving everyday problems and offering them more comfort solutions and, now, a wireless way to control their equipment for residential and commercial applications.

RedLINK™ is the first wireless network protocol developed specifically for the HVAC industry. Its points of difference include:
• Eliminates the need to run wires.
• The ability to transmit up to 10,000 square feet, across multiple levels, through concrete, brick and other building materials.
• Internal safeguards continuously self-check the signal - so it's never lost.
• Ability to "hop frequencies" means that the signal is secure.
•  A 5-year proven, track-record with no interference - won't be effected by other wireless devices or with neighboring systems.

The Mitsubishi Electric MHK1 Remote Controller Kit consists of two standard components and two optional accessories, each with a unique set of functions and features.

MRCH1 Wireless Wall-Mounted Controller
The MRCH1 Wireless Wall-Mounted Controller is a Mitsubishi Electric / HVAC wireless, wall mount, full function Remote Controller, which features a backlit, easy-to-read display and dual set point control with system changeover.  Wireless mounting permits placement virtually anywhere the customer desires.

The MRCH1 Wireless Wall-Mounted Controller provides mode switching, fan speed control, vane operation, and the other necessary control functions.

RedLINK-enabled to work with the optional wireless Outdoor Air Sensor enabling display of outdoor temperature and humidity.

MFH1 Wireless Receiver
The Wireless Receiver allows communication between the indoor unit and the MRCH1 *The MHK1 Wireless Remote Controller and Receiver are purchased as a kit.

MCCH1 Portable Central Controller (Optional Accessory)
The Portable Central Controller, specifically for INVERTER-driven Mr. Slim® Systems, controls up to 16 zones. It works with the MRCH1 Wireless Remote Controller to monitor and control the On/Off function, mode, temperature, and schedule overrides.

The controller features a backlit, easy-to-read digital display.  1-year battery life and 2-month battery warning give plenty of notice.  In the event that power is lost from the Portable Central Controller, back-up is built-in to the system.

With the Portable Central Controller and the optional Outdoor Air Sensor (MOS1), you can view outside air temperature and humidity.

MOS1 Outdoor Air Sensor (Optional Accessory)
The Outdoor Air Sensor, exclusive for INVERTER-driven Mr. Slim® Systems, monitors outside air temperature and humidity. It installs wirelessly and displays on MRCH1 Remote Controller and MCCH1 Portable Central Controller.

Most importantly, the Outdoor Air Sensor is simple, secure and easy to install. It installs wirelessly with two simple screws and a touch of a button. It also contains a weather-resistant cover and lithium batteries for reliable performance in every climate.
