Mitsubishi Electric's
split-zoning systems are ideal for cooling or heating uncomfortable
rooms in a home or as supplemental cooling or heating systems. With
only three main components - an indoor unit, an outdoor unit and a
controller - installation is as simple as mounting the units,
connecting the refrigerant lines and making a few electrical
connections.
Maximum
Efficiency
While traditional systems waste
energy by cycling off and on to achieve desired set point,
Mitsubishi Electric's innovative INVERTER technology varies the
compressor speed according to the cooling or heating load of a
room. High rotation compressor speeds cool and heat a room quickly.
Lower compressor speeds use less energy and save money. Learn more
about the efficiency of our systems.
All Mitsubishi systems meet or
exceed industry-standard requirement of 13 SEER for efficiency.
Systems deliver up to 26 SEER as a result of a powerful magnet
rotor in the compressor that allows for lower current input. With
the increased energy efficiency and SEER ratings, several models
are ENERGY STAR® Tier 2 certified:
Quiet Operation
Both indoor and outdoor units of Mitsubishi systems have been
thoughtfully designed to minimize disruption to home environments.
The fans on indoor units deliver air quietly and continuously. Learn more.
Multiple Filters for Cleaner,
Healthier Air
A sophisticated multi-part filter system on our indoor units
removes contaminants such as allergens, viruses and bacteria from
the air as it circulates. Standard Filter Systems use two
filters:
• The hybrid catechin pre-filter absorbs odor-causing gases.
• A Blue-Enzyme anti-allergen filter reduces germs, bacteria and
viruses and helps trap dust, pollens, mites and other particles
Our Enhanced Filter System
(MSZ-FE09/12 NA systems) adds a third filter for triple filtration.
The Platinum Catalyst Deodorizing filter has a ceramic surface
absorption element and uses nanotechnology for high power odor
absorption. This combination of filter types provides a complete
air purifying system along with the ultimate comfort solutions.
Filters are easily accessible on
indoor models so that they can be removed and cleaned as needed.
The hybrid coating process extends the life of filters so that,
with proper maintenance, the filters can last up to more than 10
years.
Remote Controls
Mitsubishi Electric offers comprehensive remote controllers
that control temperature, fan speed and more. Choose from four
modes: COOL, HEAT, AUTO and DRY. The controller also has a 12-hour
ON/OFF timer for one-button control of your personal comfort.
An advanced wireless remote control
is standard on all ductless models. An optional wired on-the-wall
controller is available for wall-mounted indoor units on INVERTER
systems (also requires MAC-397 adapter) while standard on ducted
units.
Year-Round Comfort from a Heat
Pump
Mitsubishi Electric's Hyper-Heating INVERTER (H2i®) heat
pump technology provides year-round comfort with a single system,
even on the coldest days of the year in most areas. Using
INVERTER-driven scroll compressor technology, H2i systems can
achieve the desired room temperature quickly and maintain it while
conserving energy.
The MSZ-FE09/12NA high efficiency
systems are not only ENERGY STAR® rated and Tax Credit qualified,
providing up to 26 SEER, they provide exceptional heating
performance. These systems provide heating to -13°F and produce
100% heating capacity at 5°F (MSZ-09); 92% capacity at 5°F for
MSZ-12.
A number of innovative features
make our H2i heat pumps a great choice for comfort control:
• Automatic cool / heat changeover
• Automatic restart in the case of power outages
• Long line-length capabilities of up to 277 ft.
• Wind baffles to allow for air conditioning down to 0º F outdoor
ambient temperature
• Special circuits that quickly deliver refrigerant to the air
conditioning cycle so that air at a comfortable temperature begins
flowing right away
Tax Credit and Comfort
Rebates
With up to $300 in Federal tax credits for energy-efficient
home improvements available to consumers, split-zoning systems have
never been more important to your product portfolio. Many
Mitsubishi Electric units already qualify for the Economic Stimulus
Tax Credit offered as part of the American Reinvestment and
Recovery Act. And, we have many Energy Star models and certain ones
that qualify for the Federal Tax Credit..
To qualify, HVAC systems must be
installed by December 31, 2013. Split-system heat
pumps chosen for installation must achieve the highest CEE Tier
Level of energy efficiency. Click here to
